Becoming a dad was not a topic I had thought about that much until we found out we are expecting, some 12 weeks ago. Ever since, it has gradually become more of a reality, and a wonderful one at that. Of course, the emotions go in cycles, from excitement to fear (am I ready for this?, what if something goes wrong? what if this…what if that?) to a sense of calm, gratitude and satisfaction to give you a few examples. Nonetheless, it was not until today, when mommy had a second ultrasound that it really became a tangible reality. There he/she was….around 6 inches (15 cm)…with heartbeat, arm, legs, eyes, ears…everything and he/she even streched during the ultrasound which just awoke an indescribable feeling of joy to see our first child alive.
It’s has been hard not to mention anything until now, but in case you haven’t heard, Neda and I are going to be parents!! Mommy is doing very well and is a trooper and I am very proud of her.

Welcome to the club, dudio! I can totally relate to the emotional cycles–but it’s great, isn’t it? We are SO excited for you guys and can’t wait until our little mooshies can have a play date together.

Dearest friends,
Thank you so much for your congratulatory remarks and well wishes. All we can hope for is baby’s good health and it pursuing a life of service to Baha’u'llah.
We will keep you posted on updates - although you know how private Farshid is on his blog! And as for Yasmin, what is your email? I’m been trying to find you for ages!
Love to all.

Ah, I’d say a few words of advice but you’re well on your way. If you need any practical tips, however, from people who still hasn’t slept for more than three hours in the past few days, you’re welcome to ask!

Alla-u-Abha Farshid and Neda Joon,
I wanted to take this time to properly extend my Congratulations to you both in expecting your bundle of joy.
Although we have never met, I’m Farshid’s cousin from Canada, in case you were both asking yourselves who’s Elham? I came across Farshid’s page sort of unexpectedly when i finally had a chance to properly look at your wedding photos online. By the way, this is a great blog site and thank you for backing up my big bro on his paintings. I always joke with him that when he makes it big I’ll be his manager! hahaha
Anyways, I didnt mean to get side-tracked. Congratulations again and hope to meet you both very soon.
Love you both,
Elham
